RKB Architects Planners Incorporated was established in 1967 and has an extensive resume that includes planning and design projects in Florida and California. An example of the firm’s FIFTY year experience includes planning and providing the consulting services for the largest planned commercial/business park in the U.S., the Irvine Business Center, located in Orange County, California. There was extensive growth during this period in Southern California and RKB was at the forefront of this growth.
RKB was selected as the consultant to provide planning, architecture, landscape design and construction coordination for the Irvine Business Center. Mr. Brooks also served as Chairman of the Architectural Review Board. It should be noted that RKB consulted with the Irvine Company’s attorneys, drafting the restrictive covenants and architectural guidelines for this 5500-acre commercial development. The Center included a portion of five cities and the John Wayne Airport within its boundaries. The Firm administered and approved all development proposed within the Center and was responsible for approving all applications for development prior to permits being issued.
RKB experienced a new era in 1981 when the firm was selected to plan and design a business park in Florida. Soon a satellite office was opened and eventually, over a ten-year period, all operations were moved to Boca Raton.
RKB’s design projects include commercial, office and industrial parks, regional business headquarters, education facilities, medical, communication centers, restaurants, hospitality, and residential planning and design.
RKB is expanding its ability to provide services to institutional and public clients by partnering with H2L2 Architecture Planning Interior Design, LLC, a firm established over 100 years ago with offices in Boca Raton, Philadelphia and New York. The resources that the combined firms provide enable RKB to service an expanded clientele.
